Why We're Building Cruitical

Over the past few years, we've been on both sides of the hiring table. As hiring managers, advisors, founders and community leaders, we've successfully helped over 200 professionals navigate career transitions and bridged talent at some of the most exciting early-stage startups today. Every single time, we saw the same inevitable broken patterns.

Talented people struggling to figure out what employers truly want, and hopelessly trying everything that could get them a conversation and potentially hired. Companies spending weeks interviewing candidates who couldn't actually do the work. Both sides are trapped in a context-sparse system, just hoping to have a genuine, candid conversation with people who may share some of their passion.

The introduction of AI screening tools made things worse. Candidates were struggling to beat these blackbox processes, people took note, and more than a few dozen startups popped up helping them auto-apply, curate their resumes to "beat the system" or cheat on interviews. Companies began deploying products that promised to save them from the applicant flood, but the vast majority are band-aid fixes that only leave both sides more scarred and the process more fractured.

We realized the problem wasn't individual tools or tactics but the infrastructure itself. Hiring has been measuring the wrong things for decades, and is definitely failing to capture the full resolution of a person. We're building Cruitical to change that, and to create infrastructure that assesses critical thinking, adaptability, job readiness and real problem-solving capability at scale. Infrastructure that makes hiring fast, transparent, and genuinely predictive of success.

We believe the companies and candidates who deserve each other should find each other, and the technology now exists to make that possible. We're building it.

Co-Founder & CEO

Serial founder, Carnegie Mellon graduate, and early-stage SaaS operator and advisor. Previously Head of Product and Growth at Zenduty, led everything from sales and customer success to product, design, and community.

Loves cycling, sci-fi movies, Counter Strike (nationally ranked once upon a time), and ranting about bad user design in everyday products.
